1. Design a special inverter room:

When the inverter used is large or has a large amount of power, a special inverter room can be designed. The door and window of the room and the cable through the wall are required to be sealed to prevent dust from invading; the air filter device and the circulation channel should be designed to keep the indoor air flowing normally; and the indoor temperature is below 40 °C. Unified management is conducive to inspection and maintenance.

2. Install the inverter in a cabinet with a fan and filter:

When the user has no conditions to set up a special inverter room, you can consider making the inverter dust cabinet. Designed fans and filters to ensure adequate air flow in the cabinet. The user should regularly check the fan to remove dust from the filter net to prevent the temperature from increasing above the specified value due to insufficient ventilation.

3, choose the dustproof capacity of the inverter:

There are many specifications and models of inverters on the market. When choosing, in addition to price and performance, the adaptability of the inverter to the environment should also be considered. Some inverters do not have a cooling fan and rely on their housing to naturally dissipate heat in the air. Compared with air-cooled inverters, despite the large volume, the sealing performance of the device is good, it is not affected by dust, the maintenance is simple, and the failure rate is low. Long working life, especially suitable for corrosive industrial gases and dust.

4. Reduce the no-load running time of the inverter:

In the industrial production process, the general-purpose frequency converter is usually powered on frequently, and the start/stop of the motor is controlled by the "forward/reverse/common" control terminal (or the button on the control panel) of the inverter. turn around. Some equipment may be stopped when the vehicle is on, and the fan is still running when the inverter is not loaded, which will absorb dust, which is unnecessary. During the production operation, the idle time of the inverter should be minimized to reduce the influence of dust on the inverter.

5. Establish a regular dust removal system:

The user should determine the time interval for regular dust removal based on the influence of dust on the inverter. Dust removal can be done with a vacuum cleaner or compressed air. After dust removal, pay attention to check the rotation of the inverter fan and check if the electrical connection point is loose.
